ABOUT ME...

Hello,

I’m Rod Jefferson.

I was born one of... five in Carnarvon, Western Australia, and like many kids was scolded oft times for drawing on the walls and doors - until I learned to conceal detailed stamp-sized illustrations underneath the coffee table and behind the couch.

I moved to Perth with my family when I was nine amid a tumultuous family life.

I have pursued my art, I have laboured in labourers clothes and in shirts and tie. I have worked in the mines, in remote locations, on production lines, in valet parking cars and in business promotions. I have run with the Army Reserve, hitch-hiked across Australia with empty pockets and lived on the streets in cardboard boxes and shivering rain. All the while my love for creating encouraging and imaginative images has given me something to share with the people around me.

I now have an extensive history of freelance art and design creating many illustrative works for businesses and advertising agencies.

I involve myself in illustrating books, logos and caricatures, large canvas to small intricate paintings and drawings. I enjoy using my talent and am highly motivated in delivering only the highest of my standards to all of my clients.

Thank you to all of you who have shared in this life with me. Thank you to those who have helped me to keep on keeping on, past, present and future and the Good Lord Jesus for showing me first to see who Love is...and then, like day and night, the difference between Love and religion. May we all endeavour to get it right.
